Why online lectures sucks?
Why do online lectures suck?
We all know after this pandemic every school, college is running online through Zoom, GMeet, and many others.
We are gonna see why it's difficult to learn online!
During this time of the Covid19 pandemic, all moved to online education. At first, it seems good, actually, it is good but to what extent?
Is it okay to take 5-6 hours of online lectures? Does it don't affect students' health?
Physical as well as mental health?
So in this article, we take a look at these points.
1. Online lectures are good, in this pandemic situation but schools, colleges, and universities take 5-6 hours lectures per day granting that all students have good internet connection and smartphones.
As we see some students suicide because of the pressure of online lectures coz they don't have good internet and smartphones.
5-6 hours of screen time is bad for physical health. It causes dryness of the eyes leads to problems of vision.
Some students reported that they felt tired and sometimes had headaches.
5-6 hours of lectures and afterward homework and revision total 10 hours.
Also, it affects mental health lack of productivity or we can say creativity.
Students don't have time for themselves.
2. Teachers are not comfortable teaching online some teachers only read PDFs in online lectures that are not fair, students can read those pdfs. I don't blame teachers that they are not compatible and they don't have knowledge but online lectures are something new for them also, maybe they also not totally comfortable with this medium.
Some teachers really taking efforts to give the most from it.
No one-to-one interaction between students and teachers is a major issue.
3. If everything is good I mean network and all, there is one major issue distraction. As per the report, 80% of students use social media, play games, and watch web series.
